Interior Design Colleges

I am a 16 yr old student currently in 10th grade. I used to go to school in the U.S and i was doing very well, I am still an American citizen but i moved abroad to Dubai,UAE. School hasn’t been going so well for me i switched throughout multiple schools now im doing online school. im not doing ok in school and ive never really liked it! ive always enjoyed art and fashion and ive always and still want to pursue a career in either fashion, interior, or product design! and im pretty good not outstanding but good and able to improve. Ive always planned to go to art school, but im considering getting my GED and applying for art school since ive seen alot of art schools allow GED’s. my parents are both college graduates with bachelors degrees and aren’t to into the whole GED thing, but they are open to art as a career, they haven’t been much help , so ya im a little confused and i need advice, and a list of art schools in the: U.S (preferably east coast and south), Middle east, and africa? PLEASE HELP ME !! thanks alot!! =)

So im wanting to move to chicago (from Dallas) in about a year and a half or so. Right now im in school for interior design to get my associate, i want to finish my bachelors up there. I know everyone says get a career before you move (i’ve already started looking) I know its expensive. (ive come to the fact that i will need a roommate. (to whoever reads this roommates.com and easyroommates.com are great & free)) Now i have a couple of questions that hopefully yall can answer for me. I really don’t want to be up there one week and already have a panic attack
1. i know the winters are brutal..everyone has told me and i know it’ll be a big shock. but anyways what are the other seasons like? Remember heat i can handle…

2. Im researching interior design firms but are there any that come to mind that i can look up..

3. What is the public transportation like ($) ,and i know use my common sense but how safe is it?

4. The TX tax rate is 8.25%, what is it up there?

5. I’m going to be alone when i move and wont know anyone. So what are the people like? (when i visit ya’ll seem nice) Where are some places to meet new/fun people.

6. (Last question, i swear) Besides Columbia and Art Institute, What are some other well known Art schools?.. & please no trade schools…

Well hopefully i didnt bore you with all this & you can help me out.

I have alot of neutral colors in my home and i would like some advice on colors for the kitchen. I have an older style kitchen and the cabinet doors have some engraved lines on the front of the door which I think would need to be a different color than the rest of the door. I was thinking about painting the doors a light wheat brown and then all the trim around the doors and the engraved parts a chestnut brown and the walls around the kitchen a creamy color. I dont know if this will look old or to dull? I need help! Ant suggestions or do you think Ive chosen the right colors? Thanks!
